UFO Watchtower

What started as a joke between Judy Messoline and the locals of Center Colorado became a reality in May of 2000, and in the years since has attracted over 30,000 visitors to the location. 

Judy originally moved to the area in 1995 and attempted to raise cattle. During this time, she would often notice the property would be frequented by UFO observers trying to catch a glimpse of something out of this world. After struggling to raise her cows and ultimately selling the herd, Judy thought about a way to capitalize on just what the property could be used for and constructed the first UFO watchtower in the county providing visitors with an unfiltered 360-degree view of the mystical San Luis Valley and the night sky above.

Visiting

There is a gift shop on site and tent camping is permitted for a fee ($15 per night per tent) and campfires are permitted. RV’s are also welcome. For more information visit: www.ufowatchtower.com
